Inspired after our trip to give an artist talk at the Kimberly Art Gallery in Kimberly, BC., which is near the Kooteney Mountains. It seems the mountains are so near but feels like you need to drive forever in order to reach them. And in between are endless farms and acreages that make it seem like you've jumped into a pioneering age of the early 20th century. You can imagine what it took for explorers and pioneers with their rudimentary technology and farming exquipment to make a life in the area.
